Bullet for My Valentine @ Agora (10/18/23)
“After 5 years, Bullet for my Valentine came back to the United States and Canada for their current tour. They are currently being accompanied by Of Mice & Men and Vended. Each band tying into the older style of rock music a lot of individuals grew up on. Vended is actually a new and upcoming band, where the singer shows his father’s influences with their similar sound to Slipknot.
Bullet for my Valentine and Of Mice & Men played old and new music, to bring in those who have listened for years or those discovering recent releases. Regardless of how long people in the crowd were listening to them, there was a song for everyone to rock, mosh, or crowd surf to. Bullet’s set list has a mix of music from their self titled album, Scream Aim Fire, Fever, Poison, and Gravity. Personally, when I first discovered Bullet for my Valentine it was their song ‘Pretty on the Outside’ on the Fever album. And for Of Mice & Men it was ‘Never Giving Up’ on the Restoring Force: Full Circle album. It was thrilling to hear bands I’ve been listening to for years preform, and be able to share the experience with others.”
