Rainbow Kitten Surprise @ Jacobs Pavilion (9/24/24)
Rainbow Kitten Surprise closed out Jacob's Pavilions 2024 season this Tuesday with a bang! With Fall weather creeping in and a thunderstorm on the horizon, the psychedelic light show and powerful rhythms brought the crowd on a fun trip to say farewell to Summer. Rainbow Kitten Surprise is an alternative band formed in 2013. They have released four studio albums, with heir most recent project, "Love Hate Music Box" was being released in May of 2024. Genre bending, their sound is a mix of funky indie, with little bits of folk alternative in the mix. Lead singer Ela Melo has a strong emotive voice, that guides the audience along through the thumping instrumentals. During the show the lighting would strike off in the distance, perfectly blending with the amazing light show. RKS started the show off with their song, "Peter Pan", followed by huge hit "Cocaine Jesus", then "SVO". They played a mix of old and new, but slightly favored tracks from "Love Hate Music Box". There is a majority of the tour remaining, so make sure to catch Rainbow Kitten Surprise in a town near you!
