Faye Webster @ Agora (3/7/25)
Faye Webster performed to a sold-out crowd at Agora Theater on Friday night. As she was introduced, a projection of a Minion appeared on the giant T-shirt backdrop on stage. Two girls at the front of the barricade mirrored the image, dressed in yellow with the iconic round glasses perched on their heads. On either side of the stage stood washing machines, tying into the laundry theme that ran throughout the show. This stage design, along with the name of the tour, was inspired by Faye's latest album Underdressed at the Symphony, which was released in March 2024. The album's gorgeous soundscape adds to Webster's growing catalog of work. Faye’s voice has a melancholic tone, but instead of feeling unsettling, it offers a comforting warmth. With her orchestral band backing her, the Agora Theater was filled with beautiful music on Friday night. There are a few more stops left on the tour, so if you're in one of the last cities, be sure to catch it while you can!
