Scene Queen @ Agora (7/10/24)
The Summer School tour kicked off their 6 band line up this weekend in Cleveland. If you love the color pink, this was the place to be. I first heard Scene Queen sometime in 2020 on an XM radio station, where they played her single ‘Are You Tired?’. Flash forward to today, and I am seeing her lead a huge tour on the big stage at Agora. It felt really empowering seeing this show live. In 2022 Scene Queen released her Bimbocore EP, which is more pop rock, that I felt sky rocketed her career along different social media platforms. Her music in recent time has been calling out predators in the scene, advocating for those that have been in that type of scenario. This is much needed in the music industry and it’s always refreshing to me to hear new female fronted bands get their foot in the door, especially when they’re speaking on behalf of those that may not have a voice. It’ll be interesting to watch her grow and see the support she receives along the journey. Scene Queen’s tour runs through the end of November, so there are plenty of dates left to catch a show live!
